Take Action Towards Changing Your Mindset and Behavior About Money by Yvetta Gayle Thompson

These statistics are $hocking!  Can we talk about Thi$?

Last month, I shared my personal experiences about changes and mindset about money and financial literacy.
This month I would like to share the “talk.”  “You can not change what you do not acknowledge,” you can not move forward “with peace and understanding” without acknowledging or understanding your past.

My mom and I had a heart to heart conversation this past Mother’s Day.  We laughed and spoke our truth.  She explained to me how she helped her father pay bills and helped her mother to not be a spender.  She explained that there was no conversation, just action, one way or the other.  I learned that she was in the middle of both of these extremes and took care of business without understanding.

We took the conversation to the next level.  After I asked questions and shared my financial journey, we learned so much from each other.  We checked her Credit Karma and found that her credit score was on point!  We talked about debt to income ratio, investments, and annuities!

We can all work together, grow together, and talk together to overcome any obstacle.
T.A.L.K ( be Teachable, Ask when you don’t know, Listen with the intent to learn, share Knowledge).  These behaviors will help change your mindset towards economic growth, even during a pandemic.

Have you met with a financial mentor?  Have you surrounded yourself with money movers and shakers?  Have you done any research on how to increase your financial wisdom?  Need help getting started?

We are preparing our workshops for youth, tweens, teens, and young adults via the virtual world.  We want to share and empower the next generation for what’s possible.  We are in this together.

Believe To Achieve
