What’s Your Net Worth? by Dr. Sharice Bradford

I have repeatedly seen a quote that reads “you are the sum total of the five people you spend most of your time with”.  So I want you to take a moment and consider who do you spend the most time with?   For those of us who are workaholics, it could be people from work.  For some of us, it’s friends.  Still others it's family.  There may also be mentors and business partners or associates.  It could be a mixture of all of the above.   As you think of your five, think of their influence on your life.  Are the pouring into you (positively) or are they pouring on you(negatively). Do they add value or are they tanking your physical, mental and emotional stock?   Think of the last time each of your five encouraged you, supported you, cheered you on or were there for you when you needed them.  Think of what deposits they have made into the food in your life.  How much positivity and sunshine have they provided?  ...

I know I have done that more times than I care to admit, which is why I decided that resolutions were no longer for me. I got off the resolution hamster wheel and decided that there were a few things I could do differently to ensure success in the coming year. Here are three things that I do now that have served me well and I hope they help you too. 1. Throw away the resolutions. Why do we make resolutions? Who started that trend and why have we for generations decided that that was what we needed to do to make lasting or meaningful change in our lives. Statistically, resolutions don’t work. Studies demonstrate that less than 25% of people who make resolutions stay committed to those resolutions beyond 30 days.  30 days! ...
