BOSS Spotlight Feature: Deborah Allen

Millionaire childcare coach, Deborah Allen, is an entrepreneur at heart! She had successfully owned, operated & was Director of Little Lights Childcare Center for 10 years that earned 2 million. Her book “Fierce” birthed Fierce TV, Fierce Radio, Deborah Allen Ministries, Ladies Advocating Ministries International, Visionary Consulting & Group LLC.

What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career?
Entrepreneurship has definitely pulled, drawn and caught me again. This new business is actually a revision of my original dream. After 10 years of operating a childcare center the vision was altered and I closed my center. My greatest obstacles were getting back up again. I went back to corporate America and that was easier than all the work it took me to build my own business. Obstacles are always present but they cannot stop destiny. God put me in a position that made me start building again. It took 4 years of reflection, growth, and soul searching. As a woman, I have to juggle family, marriage, ministry, pastoring, finances and work. However, the sacrifice is worth it!

What inspired you to break into your particular industry?
I’ve served as Executive Director of our non-profit L.A.M. Ministries Inc. since 2001. This office was key to me becoming Director of Little Lights Childcare & Learning Center. There was a need for a director and I fitted perfectly into the slot. This experience has given me proven tools and strategies in business management, marketing and monetizing. I specialize in ensuring clients are left with all the resources to help them with retention, parent involvement, and overall center success. Visionary Coaching & Consulting Group LLC motto is: “Seeing your words come to life…” We pride ourselves in being fully committed to each of our clients. Our goal & focus is to give professional, developmental and creative concepts. VCCG entire team assists our clients by providing visionary planning techniques, dynamic coaching seminars, and revolutionary entrepreneur training while focusing on leadership, integrity, and purpose. We offer Childcare Coaching, Author Coaching, Pastor Coaching, Ministry Coaching, Training, Conference, & Motivational Speaking.

How do you balance your personal and professional life or have you been able to find a balance?

Balance is key and it’s not easy! My greatest source is God. This is a season of grace and teamwork. I strive to balance my time. I give it my all and where I fall short God covers me in grace. I stay before God and he gives me balance, wisdom and grace. God is my source because he helps me not to be overwhelmed.

What is an inspirational quote that you live by?
It’s a quote that I penned for Deborah Allen Ministries “When walking in purpose, fiercely walk in divine authority.” We are built for the battle. We must hold on, remain and be strong in our everyday life. WE ARE FIERCE!

Who were some influential people or mentors that helped or encouraged you along the way?
I have been blessed with awesome teachers throughout my life. As well as my pastor, Bishop Glen Allen Sr, has been a great source of encouragement unto me. He has spoken prophetically into my life, encouraged, strengthened, prayed and cheered me to pursue my purpose.

What are your "must-haves" to keep your career or business going strong?
I must honestly admit that my must-have is God. Without God, I can do nothing and he’s my ultimate source. My family and church are a must-have too.

What is your definition of a BOSS? To me a BOSS is relentless. We never give up and are without excuse. I work and believe that no one can outwork us for we get the job down! BOSS MOVES
