TheBOSSNetwork: What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career?

Sandra Brown: Self doubt and laziness. I had to (and still do) challenge my own self doubt and laziness, which can limit us.

BN: What inspired you to break into your particular industry?

SB: My love for God and my passion for wanting to help and encourage others lead me to want to share by knowledge and experiences to help others.

BN: How do you balance your personal and professional life or have you been able to find a balance?

SB: Maintaining a work-life balance and not feeling guilty about it is critical. Exercise, time with friends and family, and sleep are often taken for granted. Using my calendar as much as possible by adding exercise appointments, social time, etc. helps me to try and balance my time. As difficult as it might be, it is crucial that we work on getting ourselves into an unshakable routine as much as possible.

BN: What is an inspirational quote that you live by?

SB: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path.

BN: Who were some influential people or mentors that helped or encouraged you along the way?

SB:My mother for her strength, my grandmother for her faith.

BN: What are your haves and must haves to keep your career or business going strong?

SB: I must have the faith to believe and with that all things are possible.

BN: What is your definition of a BOSS?

SB: One that exhibits leadership, yet strives to be better while walking in their God given talents, skills and abilities, giving of their time and treasures…
