Latricia Wright is a noted educator and foodie at heart constructing and delivering forward-thinking programs, giving attendees ranging from youth to elderly actionable tools for lifestyle changes. She’s great at simplifying complex scientific information so that it is easy to understand and individualizing programs to meet each person’s wellness goal.

What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career? In the beginning, I wore ALL of the hats and didn’t honor my time or manage time effectively. Neither did I understand how to price and strategically market my product and services.

What inspired you to break into your particular industry? My interest in natural health began as a teenager after losing my father and grandmother to food-related diseases. Years later, I began studying nutrition, herbology, and gardening in an effort to save my husband’s life when he experienced the same symptoms that claimed my father’s life. 

How do you balance your personal and professional life or have you been able to find a balance? As someone seeking to live a healthy, sustainable life, self-care and balance are key. I find balance by honoring scheduled personal time, investing in daily self-care practices, and relieving tension and stress with exercise, yoga, and meditation.

What is an inspirational quote that you live by? Let today be the day... You stand strong in the truth of your beauty and journey through your day without attachment to the validation of others. –Steve Maraboli

Who is one influential person and/or mentor that has helped or encouraged you along the way? My husband, Sterling Wright, has been there, encouraging me along the way to own my greatness, live confidently, and push through self-limiting beliefs.

What are your "must-haves" to keep your career or business going strong?
Access to capital, a strategic plan, drive, determination, and a growth mindset

What is your definition of a BOSS? A BOSS is one who possesses the ability to inspire enthusiasm, is courageous, respectful, and purpose-driven.

BOSS & Sage Announce 2024 Invest in Progress Grant Winners

We’re excited to announce the recipients of the 2024 Invest in Progress Grant, a collaborative initiative by Sage and The BOSS Network . This partnership has seen Sage commit funding over three years to empower small businesses with the resources they need to thrive. The selected recipients stand out for their dedication to community, entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to grow their professional skills.  Each will be awarded a $10,000 grant and gain access to a year-long monthly mentorship program through BOSS Business University. This online platform is designed to provide the tools and knowledge necessary to successfully launch or grow a business. The partnership, in its third year, received almost 12,000 applicants nationwide.
