BOSS Spotlight Feature: Nina Huggar
Nina Huggar is a full-time Operations Manager by day. Certified Master Life Coach, Health & Wellness Coach, & Author by night. She’s the CEO and founder of Solutionz Are Possible LLC. What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career? Starting out as an entrepreneur takes tenacity. It has been an obstacle to working a full-time job and working as an entrepreneur at the same time. Additionally, as a new entrepreneur who knows how to do a multitude of things, I have been the owner and the worker for every area of my business, at one point.
What inspired you to break into your industry? I aspired to become an entrepreneur for freedom and flexibility. I knew that I had the gift of Administration. Whatever business I started, had to be connected to something that I did seamlessly.
How do you balance your personal and professional life, or have you been able to find a balance? I have been able to work in an area professionally, and that comes naturally to me. But because I can do my job and business seamlessly, it is easier for me to balance personal from professional.
What is an inspirational quote that you live by? “If it is meant to be, it will be”. “Treat people the way you would like to be treated”.
Who is one influential person and/or mentor that has helped or encouraged you along the way? Women who I’ve worked with as a new entrepreneur. Listening to their experiences and wisdom was a help. Then once I connected with my business coach, she pushed me out of my comfort zone and opened my eyes to the many ways to make income.
What are your "must-haves" to keep your career or business going strong? Connecting calendars to your phone or tablet is a must-have. This way, you can view all your calendars in one location, and nothing is missed. Finding a notes and/or tasks app that works well for you. This will help you to keep up with important tasks and “key” information.
What is your definition of a BOSS? A BOSS is secure in their role. They understand that “what is supposed to be, will be”. They know how to humbly take charge when necessary. Though they walk and talk in authority, they still respect others and treat people the way in which they would like to be treated.
