What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career? Funding was a major obstacle. I also had a lack of people believing in my vision due to my former incarceration.

What inspired you to break into your industry? I believe God delivered me here.

How do you balance your personal and professional life, or have you been able to find a balance? I balance by paying attention to my body and staying grounded to a higher power.

What is an inspirational quote that you live by? “I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it.” – Maya Angelou

Who were some influential people or mentors that helped or encouraged you along the way? I had a few mentors along the way, including my Narcotics Anonymous sponsor, Doctor Iyanla Vanzant who supported me on starting this journey, and of course the Holy spirit.

What are your "must-haves" to keep your career or business going strong? Inner peace is very important to me, as well as being obedient to my inner authority.

What is your definition of a BOSS? A BOSS is a woman who knows herself, including her flaws and strengths, and accepts them, and someone who is compassionate and caring of others and their needs. A BOSS is a lady who exudes mastery and excellence, and someone who is willing to take a risk.

Provide us with two words that describe you? “Master of Excellence.”
