We Are Inspired By This BOSS: Kendell Renee Kelly

 Kendell Renee Kelly is an intellectual property lawyer and strategist specializing in the sports and entertainment industries.   
Her unconventional, cutting-edge practice was then shaped in some of the world’s most respected major law firms - Sonnenschein Nat& Rosenthal and Greenberg Traurig before joining the premier intellectual property merchant banc Ocean Tomo as Assistant General Counsel.  
Ms. Kelly’s has practiced in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition. She has been involved with prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and litigation, licensing, validity and infringement analysis. She has also prosecuted numerous patents in the electrical and mechanical areas, including semiconductor fabrication, kitchen appliances, Internet and other emerging technologies.  Her entertainment law experience includes design clearance, brand development, preparing and negotiating endorsement agreements, master licenses, recording agreements and work-for-hire agreements.  She also has prepared contest and sweepstakes disclaimers and rules and operating agreements for film companies.
Currently, Ms. Kelly's practice focuses on counseling private and corporate clients in set-up, protection, strategic planning, monetization and liquidation of intellectual property assets.   
Ms. Kelly matriculated through top tier programs at Spelman College, Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgetown University Law Center acquiring degrees in science, engineering and law.  She is admitted to Illinois and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois bars.
