TheBOSSNetowrk: What were some obstacles that you faced in the beginning process of starting your business or career?

Chevarrie Butler: I can remember lots of financial challenges but the most tear jerking obstacle that I faced was "Balance". It took me a while to figure out what worked for my family and for me to feel whole as a entrepreneur. Once I figured those things out I had only one question to ask my self, would you rather work hard at matters of the heart which for me was Family and A fulfilling life as an entrepreneur or Work hard at being stressed?  The answer was simple when I looked at it from that angle, trust me it was not without its ripples but It has made a world of difference in my life.

BN:  What inspired you to break into your particular industry?

CB: A love for beautiful outcomes....My inspiration comes from making people happy and wowing myself.

BN:  How do you balance your personal and professional life or have you
been able to find a balance?

CB: I can honestly say that I've found a Balance that's working for me right now. This may change as life changes but for now I feel like I'm in a good space I move to the beat of my heart. If my heart says to me my family needs me that's where I'm going to focus my energy and time, If my heart is full of energy and needs a new project and my creative juices are flowing I'm using my energy to engage with the next client or next adventure. Following my heart has made a world of difference.  The moral I guess to my balance is that I follow my heart and feed it my "Needs" instead of my "Wants"

BN: What is an inspirational quote that you live by?

CB:  "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" - Maya Angelou

BN: Who were some influential people or mentors that helped o
encouraged you along the way?

CB: BOSS Founder Cameka Smith, She has always been an example of a person who has never given up no matter the challenges or hard work that is needed to be great at what you do. Mentor and Prayer warrior Crystal Prowell-Pettigrew, Everyone needs a Crystal, she has prayed for me, prayed with me and put me in my place when needed, she’s helped me through tons of challenges and triumphs.  Last but not least my husband for always pushing me to never give up and showing me how to have patience with myself and not to be so critical of myself or others.

BN: What are your "must-haves" to keep your career or business going strong?

CB: I must have my Agenda I keep everything in it....I feel lost when I leave it on my desk I will drive the distance to go back home to get it.  To keep my business going strong I have to keep my clients satisfied, provide great customer relation solutions and give them a great experience. The one thing that I love is having lots of Inventory, sometimes a platter can give me the creative juice for an Event theme or color palette.

BN: What is your definition of a BOSS?

CB:  A Boss is a person who has a vision and is not afraid to be lead by faith, has the ability to lead others, knows the importance of self control and moves with confidence with enough ambition to rule his/her future.
