BOSS Member Spotlight Rachel Green-Walker

So you might ask, what made me join the BOSS Network? From the moment founder Cameka Smith introduced me to the BOSS Network, I was instantly moved, inspired and eager to learn more. Her words spoke to me, I felt her cause, and knew immediately I had to be a part of this amazing organization.

Since joining the organization a year ago, I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet numerous like-minded women whom I consider to be trailblazers in their area of expertise. From near and far, this wonderful group of powerful women has given so much to me. Their advice, stories, referrals, hugs, and of course words of encouragement all embody true sisterhood!

I enjoy being apart of BOSS because we work together as a team to strengthen each other’s goals and pay it forward with out expectations. I help my sister because she needs it, not because I need something from her.  One of my favorite books said it best when it read, “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” Deuteronomy 15:10

I thank God for those that gave generously and without grudging hearts. Many blessings!

Who is Rachel?

Rachel L. Green-Walker, founder and CEO of A Brand Called U is well known for her work with rising stars, professional sporting teams, and charitable foundations. She’s received numerous awards for academic excellence from Robert Morris University, where she earned her Bachelors in Business Management. During her academic career, she’s interned with a Chicago based public relations firm and the National Association of Black Sports Professionals. It was here she was allotted the privilege to work side-by-side with notable athletes, authors, vocalist, and dancers; which have all since become close friends. She is an avid volunteer for local charities and holds an executive position as Secretary for the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Black Sports Professionals and a Chicago Ambassador for the BOSS Network. She also works with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks as a Sales and Marketing Representative as part of their charitable donations staff.

This mover and shaker is constantly on the go. As a single mother of two children (ages 13 & 11), entrepreneur, and soon to be author, she is surely a force to be reckoned with. Rachel stated, "My career path has truly been signed sealed and delivered by a greater being- God. I know that this privilege is not one for the faint at heart, so I work hard to show my clients my worth, and also show the world my clients worth".
