Divas, MPH (Making our People Healthier) was founded by four dynamic young women with a strong interest in public health and a passion for improving the total health and wellness of women, their families, and their communities. Each of these young women bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and talent to the organization. Our story began one day as we were all using the popular social networking site, Twitter. What started as a “Follow Friday” tag-line, “Follow the MPH Divas” with all of our Twitter names behind it, grew into bringing together years of individual ideas, goals, and passion to form Divas, MPH. Erica Williams is the Deputy Director of Progress 2050 , a project of the Center for American Progress, a nonprofit think tank headquartered in Washington, DC, that develops new ideas for an increasingly diverse America. The project seeks to build a progressive agenda that is more inclusive and reflects the rich racial and ethnic makeup of the nation. Progress 2050 does this by promoting innovative policy ideas, facilitating honest dialogue about the intersection of race and policy, analyzing demographics, and developing new leaders.   Zina Pierre Zina C. Pierre is the founder and CEO of the Washington Linkage Group. Ms. Pierre is a noted speaker, author, public policy expert and advocate for women's issues. She served eight years in the Clinton Administration with her last commissioned officer position as Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs. In that role Ms. Pierre served as President Bill Clintons' liaison to America's mayors and county officials in the Executive Office of the President. Prior to her position in the White House, Ms. Pierre served as Director for the President's Welfare to Work Initiative for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
