Create Your Business Vision for 2021 Success by Aria Craig

As 2021 quickly approaches, we look back on 2020 and realize that it’s been a challenging time for many people across this county –

  • financially (loss of a job)

  • emotionally (loss of a loved one)

  • spiritually (loss of connectedness with the Creator)

But, if you haven’t already done so, now is the time to get reconnected and reassess your strengths, and get busy planning your entrepreneurial ideas for next year.

Small businesses are the heart of this country. It is incumbent on us to identify how to sharpen our gifts as business owners. As Dr. Myles Munroe stated, “crisis creates opportunity”. One great thing about 2020 is that it has brought out our creativity, an incredible gift to have in this era. The way we think about doing business has shifted. It doesn’t look the same as it did ten, five, or even one year ago. We have been stretched to operate differently and challenged to grow, which is part of success.

What I have noticed is that most successful small businesses have one thing in common by January of the following year – a fresh or revised business plan, which may even include a contingency plan considering current times. They research the trends, listen to news concerning their industry, and work on ways to continue to identify themselves as unique to their competitors through the current year.

They also create vision boards, or something of the like, that they map out with intention for what they want to be demonstrated. Vision boards are powerful imagery tools that guide towards manifestation through the demonstration of faith if used correctly (i.e. consistently referring to it, praying over it, meditating over it; working towards it – not just creating it and placing it in a room to collect dust). If you can’t find a virtual vision board party to attend very soon, then create your own or go about it solo.

Finally, they work with a business coach or mentor to secure every resource needed as the year progresses. They dared to vision bigger and bolder than prior years, so investing in the support is part of their success strategy. During the year, they identify lessons learned to determine what needs to be adjusted to stay in alignment and work on creating the following year’s business plan about midway through the current one.

I have already laid out my goals for what I want to accomplish in 2021 after working with a mentor on an extensive business plan for Mind Over Matters Holistic Mental Healing. The vision for my business success includes my client avatar during this pandemic and post-pandemic, corporate partnerships, being an influencer, and long-term goals. All of this will be part of my vision board that I plan to pray, meditate, and give thanks for as the clock winds down into the new year.

From my family to yours – Happy Holidays and much business success in 2021!
