The 3 tips to sharing captivating stories that gets you new premium clients on demand by Angel Coleman
Sharing captivating stories is never about you, even when it is a personal experience. It is ultimately all about your ideal client and particularly those in your audience who will identify and relate to the story. Their strong sense of identification and connection to the story is such a powerful and essential part of converting them into clients.
Stories can be a very powerful sales conversion tool if you know how to captivate your audience’s attention. And to help you do that, here are 3 tips to telling powerful stories that convert:
Tip #1: Get clear on the purpose of your story.
Of course, the end goal of any content you create is to eventually gain new clients. However, when I mention purpose, I mean to think about the value your audience will gain from the story you share. Will it provide insight into the challenges they are experiencing in a particular area? Will it help your ideal client see how they can overcome their challenges with your service? The purpose of your story will determine if you catch your audience’s attention.
Tip #2: Meet them where they are.
A common mistake I see people make when they share a story is they start from the most boring part of the story. The reason they do this is that they think they need to start from the beginning to give the audience context. I agree it’s important to share the backstory, however, it’s best to start from where your ideal client currently is on their journey to the results they desire. That way, they can immediately see listening to your story is worth their attention.
Tip #3 Breathe life into your stories.
Decide which emotion you want your audience to tap into and paint a vivid picture so it pulls them deeper into the story as if they were there. This will help your audience feel connected and remember your stories as they move through the buying decision process.
Now you’ve just discovered 3 tips to sharing captivating stories that get you, new premium clients.
Here’s, a word of warning; just knowing how to share powerful stories isn’t going to increase your sales. That’s because the key is to take action on what you just learned. So I encourage you to review the tips above and then start implementing them in your storytelling process the right way. Because the sooner you do, the sooner you’ll get new premium clients on demand for your business.
