Felicia Shakespeare  is an award-winning Global Speaker, a 5x Bestselling Author, Educator, and Personal Brand Strategist. She is the Founder of A Purpose Driven Woman LLC which has successfully produced a podcast, conference series, and a compilation book project. ********************************************  When I started planning to write for BOSS this last quarter of 2022, I immediately knew I wanted to send some type of reminder of how to approach your “GOALS!” So here is how I will close the quarter with five points on how to plan your goals Now or for the New Year ahead! #1 G- Get Started! I believe the hardest part of anything is the “start” part. We can say all day that want to lose weight or write a book or “declutter our lives” to become more organized (just about anything can be put in the slot) . But the most important part and the one basic thing to do above all else is to just get started ! Let’s begin to condition ourselves literally to overcom...

From Grace to Gratitude by Felicia Shakespeare

Felicia Shakespeare  is an award-winning Global Speaker, a 5x Bestselling Author, Educator, and Personal Brand Strategist. She is the Founder of A Purpose Driven Woman LLC which has successfully produced a podcast, conference series, and a compilation book project.  ******************************************** Last time I spoke of the importance of giving ourselves a little more “grace.” Many of us are hardest on ourselves and way more critical about where we are in life than anyone else. We must be intentional about personalized “self-care” in its totality. One of the greatest weapons we have is our voice. Do you believe words have power and that the words that we use daily actually either affirm or cause a deficit in us? Many times we ARE NOT using our own voice to affirm and speak life into ourselves as much as we should. Let’s begin to change that narrative and now start to wrap ourselves in gratitude.  We have entered into my family’s (really Mom’s) favorite holida...

Entering Quarter 4 Gracefully by Felicia Shakespeare

Felicia Shakespeare is an award winning Global Speaker, a 5x Bestselling Author, Educator and Personal Brand Strategist. She is the Founder of A Purpose Driven Woman LLC which has successfully produced a podcast, conference series and a compilation book project.  One of my favorite lines from the intro song of In Living Color ...is  ‘How you living?.’ If you’ve never seen or heard of this iconic tv show, all I can say is go to Google search and find out more. As I think of entering into the final quarter of this year I have many mixed emotions for various reasons, personally and professionally. I’m also assessing my accomplishments this year that were on my radar and which goals have been achieved. I’m also thinking about the new fiscal year that is RIGHT around the corner. But as I ponder on what I can’t control (the time this year that has already passed) and the future ( the time and circumstances of events that I can’t control ahead of me) that is ahead of me, wha...

Brand Essence by Felicia Shakespeare

Image
Branding identification of a product is the understanding of how it directly relates in terms of focus with an emphasis on sales and marketing . The best business leaders consider these methods to be critical components for them to capitalize when promoting products and services. In most instances, how well this plan is implemented determines if a single product will ever make its way into the hands of the general public. A great marketing campaign that signifies one’s brand is most crucial to the success of its business growth. The paramount reason for being branded is to gain an acknowledged level of success (as success is defined by the strategy implementation within the strategic plan).  Personal Brand Defined Let’s start right now with the aspect of what it means to be a personal brand . Personal branding is when an individual, instead of a business or entity, is the focus of the brand. A personal brand, in its true essence, is the way one represents himself or herself in and...

Brand Reference by Felicia Shakespeare

Image
Brand or branding seems to be a part of so many different conversations these days. When I hear the word brand I initially think of so many different things nowadays and how this word is being used so frequently in our daily lives in talks. Whether watching television for fun or for insight or on social media following some favorite topics or people, we can actually start a tally to count how often this word comes up and is being used in discussions. Whether referring to a business or an individual, the term brand can have a variety of meanings within each and every situation. There’s no way to come to the full potential of a brand without knowing strategically your part in your personal development or journey. The scope or range of brand reference can fall from one game to another. For example, there are celebrities in every sector who have in their own right risen up to be undeniably the best in their craft, but equally can be the brand profile of the everyday person. What’s me...

Virtual Etiquette Series: Work / Life Balance: Keeping Your House in Order by Felicia Shakespeare

Image
Now after being in quarantine for over two months and counting, I’ve seen myself pulled into countless different directions on a day to day basis. Whether it be  Zoom meetings (and several other digital platforms too) for family, church,  fun, or work, it feels as if everything I do is sometimes all running together. I’ve been invited to Zoom birthday celebrations, girls night out pajama parties and dinner events (I’ve seen some really creative stuff taking place in these virtual spaces). What I’m reminding you as you read this piece, is the same thing that I’m actually taking inventory and taking the time to remind myself of as well. We MUST all work to keep our house (representative of our life) in order to maintain a sense of balance. Clearly, this term can be used in its metaphoric sense and literal sense.  Most of all we must maintain a work-life balance to be completely clear on how we are achieving daily and long term goals that we've set for ourselves. I feel l...
